Oribe Surfcomber REVIEW

Oribe Surfcomber Mousse £35

Words cannot describe how happy I am with this product!

This tousled texture mousse does exactly what it says on the tin. I have tried other products that are designed to give the same effect but nothing compares to this. The main reason why is because of how it leaves your hair feeling. Other products that are designed to give that surfy/tousled effect always leaves my hair feeling dry and stiff... This however leaves the hair feeling soft and smelling gorgeous!

You only need a small amount (about the size pictured in hand) and it creates soft waves that looks like you've came straight from the beach. My hair naturally has a slight bend in it and unfortunately can also be fairly frizzy. I've shown how my hair went from using a small amount, it takes away the frizz and adds more of a wave rather than an undesirable bend. It's been called 'super model hair in a bottle' and I would say it definitely lives up to its name!

To create this look after washing my hair I applied argon oil to the mid lengths and ends as my hair can get quite dry. I then rough dried the roots of my hair as I have very thick hair and without giving it a bit of extra help from the dryer it would take an age to dry.
After blasting the roots dry with the hair dryer I then applied the surfcomber moose all over concentrating on the mid lengths and ends. As the hair was drying every so often I would give the waves a helping hand by scrunching my hair.
I'm not one to wash my hair every day and my hair stayed looking fab for a few days after I just applied a bit of dry shampoo and sometimes added some extra waves with my GHDs for that bit of added texture.

I've definitely become a fan of this brand and I'm really looking forward to trying more of their hair products!

What hair products have you been loving lately... Have you tried any Oribe hair products?

OOTD... LAYERS

If there is an item of clothing that I love, I hate to wear it only in certain seasons, I bought this dress at the beginning of the summer and got so much wear out of it. I am not gonna let the cold weather stop me from throwing it on during the winter months. In order to bust out your summer clothes during the winter its all about layers, layers, LAYERS! I love layering the cropped white tee over this dress as I think it goes really well and just adds a bit of extra warmth and detail.

Ever since i picked up this jacket in Camden a few weeks back I haven't took it off, its not that warm to be honest but layering it up with the faux fur scarf makes it super cosy.
Last but not least I've been a little naughty and treated myself to a pair of Dr.Martens... I have wanted a pair for years and years but have never bit the bullet however last weekend the bullet was bit and the deed was done. I'm sooo glad that I decided to go ahead and buy them, they are definitely worth the money as they are such good quality, sturdy boots that I know will last me for ever. I'm looking forward to making them look a bit more worn in as I always prefer the look of Dr.Martens when they are not so brand, shiny new looking.

Pinspiration

I use Pinterest daily, whether I am looking for recipes, home decor or outfit inspiration.

Pinterest is so good for giving ideas and it has such beautiful images.

I am aware that this selection of snaps are somewhat summery but I like the vibe of them. They inspire me for ideas towards my winter outfits, be it adding a (faux) fur coat, lots of jewellery or messy boho hair.

Do you use Pinterest for inspiration?

Philosophy Pure Grace Fragrance Spray

'Each act of Grace blooms with beauty'

Philosophy are not a brand that I am all too familiar with as I have not used many of their products.

However as I was browsing through Debenhams one afternoon I walked past their range of fragrances and couldn't help but stop for a little sniff. Pure Grace was the fragrance that really caught my attention, it is described as 'the clean smell of soap and water, the memory of fresh air woven into a set of white cotton sheets'

I gotta say... They are not wrong!

With scents of bergamot, jasmine and musk the smell of pure grace for me is so inoffensive, not like your normal perfume... Sort of like an anti fragrance, that's perfect for day or night.

I have not met a person that doesn't like the smell of this fragrance and the staying power of it is superb, it lasts all day with only using a small amount.

In the layering set it also comes with a shower/bath gel and a whipped body creme. The shower gel can also be used to wash hair. It lathers nicely and leaves skin feeling soft and really super clean.

The body creme is so moisturising and a little goes a long way as it is quite thick in consistency.

The three products work perfectly together and leave you feeling fresh and clean all day and I always get lots of compliments on my perfume when I've used the spray fragrance.

The set is such good value as for a 60ml bottle of the Pure Grace fragrance spray on its own is £32.

The layering set includes a 60ml bottle of fragrance spray, 240ml bottle of bath/shower gel and a 120 ml tub of whipped body creme.

There are three other fragrances in the range being, Living Grace, Inner Grace and Amazing Grace. I have to say that Pure Grace is by far my favourite.

Are you a fan of philosophy?

Obsessing Over Overalls

I do love a good pair of dungarees... During the summer I lived in these and why let a good thing come to an  end, pair them with tights and rock them all year long I say!

This is a surprisingly warm outfit because of all of the layers and its super comfortable.

(sorry about the dark pictures at the bottom I just wanted to show how I wore the outfit later on that day when it got extra cold)

                           Casual, Cosy OOTD

Okay, lets start by stating the obvious... this jumper is THE cosiest!!!

This outfit is a go to of mine on grey, cold days such as today because it is warm and oh so comfortable as well as looking fairly put together.

I have been lusting over the Jeffery Campbell Roscoe boots for some time now so when I came across these similar beauties in my local river island I couldn't resist. (Its fair to say that I've lived in them ever since)

I'm also guilty of loving a bit of arm candy and these seem to be glued to my wrist as of late.

                 Pink

Pink is not normally a colour I find myself drawn towards but this Autumn/Winter pink is a BIG trend and it looks to be sticking around well into Spring 2014.
For me personally on the rare occasion that I do wear pink it tends to be more of a dusty, subtle pink. As this spring colour has been given a new lease of life this season you will be seeing all shades of pink over the high street.
Here are a few of my favourites taken from the catwalk

                                                                            Burberry

                                                                           Miu Miu

                                                                      John Rocha

I think that teaming pink on pink using different shades and textures looks great and is also very on trend.

Here are some of my favourite pieces from the high street.

Pink Crushed Velvet Shorts
Topshop £32
(I have these in deep red and loooove them)

Sparkle And Fade Overcoat                                                                   UrbanOutfitters £125

Chiffon Tank Top
American Apparell £34

Pink Slip
Misguided £19.99

I have fallen in love with this slip dress. I would team it with black chunky boots and a black leather jacket to toughen it up some what. Alternatively you could also wear it with a pink over sized boyfriend coat of a different shade and some pumps.

Put on some pink and get those boys winkin'
Love.
